Switchgear Training Centres

'Train & Gain' has always been L&T's culture. In keeping with this philosophy,with excellent technical facilities and infrastructure, Switchgear Training Centres have been established at Pune, Lucknow & Coonoor. Specially designed 'hands-on' training programmes on the operation and maintenance of Switchgear are conducted for Engineers and Technicians from different industry segments.

These Switchgear Training Centres are the first and only of its kind in India to train professionals in every aspect of low voltage switchgear engineering. The centres have state-of-the-art training facilities, a well-equipped workshop and testing systems.

To be successful in a highly competitive business environment like ours, professionals have to keep themselves abreast of the latest developments and trends in the industry. Constant upgradation of skills through structured training can increase productivity, to a great extent.

In the past decade, L&T's Switchgear Training Centres have helped more than 27,000 engineers and technicians gear themselves up to the complex electrical protection and distribution needs of various industries. Hi-tech facilities and sophisticated training systems have helped the participants achieve high standards of excellence.

It is the responsibility of the Maintenance Department to ensure the availability of electrical energy at various load centres reliably, efficiently and safely. Proper maintenance of Switchgear is therefore one of the most important activities for the Department.

    Traditionally certain methods are used to maintain and test these Switchgears. These programmes will help you to broaden the skills of your personnel and give them a new and positive approach to maintenance. It would also provide a foundation for evaluation of existing practices and offer professional guidance for developing a new and integrated action plan for the maintenance of Low Voltage Distribution System.
