September 19, 2008: L & T – EBG’s Packaging Cell has received INDIASTAR2008 award in the recently held INDIASTAR packaging contest. This award was awarded for the entry “CFB CORNER PADDING” which was designed and developed by Mr. Vijay V. Bhandarkar & Nathaniyal Rozario.

INDIASTAR 2008 is a prestigious national award for recognizing the innovations in Packaging design and Development within the country. This award enjoys a high level of recognition worldwide and serves as a brand for the companies for outstanding design skills. L & T’s Packaging cell has been receiving this award since 1978 and with winning of this award total no. of awards received so far is 36. As a sequel of winning INDIASTAR 2008, this entry is automatically eligible to participate in ASIASTAR 2008 & WORLDSTAR 2008 packaging contest at intercontinental and world level competition respectively.

The silent features of this packaging are :- The ‘L’ shape CFB padding used for packaging of mechanical interlock kit is developed to support metallic base plate of the product. The design is 100% ecofriendly, standardized, convenient & recyclable. It protects all corners and edges of the product and prevents transit damages. It has additional customer convenience of ease of opening.
