This is a state-of-the-art knowledge park spread across an area of 150 acres and consists of construction of a Cyber Tower with a built-up area of about 45,000 sq. metres. Under another contract worth Rs 28.25 crore, L&T will construct an Administrative Building for Cognizant Solutions. "These orders are the result of integrated efforts by L&T to continually optimize its costs and delivery schedules and benchmark itself with global construction majors in terms of IT-enabling the project management," said Mr. A. Ramakrishna, L&T's Deputy Managing Director.
"These orders have been booked despite the depressed economic conditions prevailing in the country and a general lack of spending on infrastructure. Our engineering capabilities with 3D model experience and process intensive strength is a critical enabler to qualify for such projects," said Mr. K. Venkataramanan, L&T's President (Operations) and Member of the Board.
