Yet another feather in the
L&T AUTOMATION cap! This time a total turnkey job at the Blast
Furnace-3 of Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP).
L&T AUTOMATION was entrusted
with a turnkey contract for Blast Furnace #3 upgradation project
by DSP. The scope covered preparation of Functional Design
Specifications (FDS), Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Supplies,
Erection, Commissioning and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for
Stove Automation, Blast Furnace Automation and Stock House
Automation. Mr.Vijay K.Arora, head of the Projects group at
L&T AUTOMATION informed, "This complete package comprising
of LT/HT Switchgears, Power distribution, Digital DC Drives,
Hot standby PLC system, HMI and Instrumentation was commissioned
at a record speed". Impressed with the smooth handover of
the system, DSP has awarded a merit certificate to L&T AUTOMATION
appreciating their efforts and confirming that “ the engineering
support extended was excellent.”
