FOR WHOM :
Graduate/Diploma Engineers with less than 2 years experience.

Duration : 4 Days

Programme Contents :

  • Typical LV power distribution scheme.

  • Location and role of switchgear in distribution scheme.

  • Definations of switchgear, various terminologies Study of various LV switchgear components; their role & operation; types;     features and applications; Contactors, thermal overload relays, switches/disconnectors, HRC fuses, ACB`s, MCCB`s .

  • Basic aspects of Electrical safety.

  • Good Termination practises.

    Workshop Sessions :

    Switchgear components – operation mechanism,

    parts – identification & their role;commissioning tests.

    Fitting, setting and testing of accessories.

    Preventive Maintenance, trouble shooting. Practicals on termination practise.

    Methodology :

    Lectures with long intensive and structured hands - on practise by ways of videos, demonstrations, and product clinics.
